Rain Barrels for sale

Bucks County Conservation District is selling rain barrels for $75 each as a fundraiser. Please note these barrels are available for less than half typical retail rates.

Please review the attached pdf for a photo and more information on how to order. There are only 25 barrels available on a first come, first served basis.

Project Headwaters at June Meeting

Project Headwaters Mike Wilson will be giving a presentation at the June meeting at the Horsham Library at 7PM.

Project Headwaters was initiated in early 2007 by SE Montgomery County Trout Unlimited, Philadelphia Water Department Office of Watersheds (PWD), Temple/Villanova Sustainable Stormwater Initiative, Montgomery County Conservation District, AKRF, Inc. and Pennsylvania Environmental Council. These partners are seeking ways to improve urban watershed planning by implementing a regional initiative aimed at coordinated, strategic, action-oriented approach to watershed management.

Water Drop Day 2009

Park Creek Watershed Association held a water drop patch program for girl scouts on May 2nd, 2009 at Kohler Park in Horsham PA. Twenty five girls showed up to participate in the creek walk, stream water monitoring, enviroscape demo and ground water model demo as well as other activities. The girls earned the Water Drop Patch for participation in the days events.

Chris Jordan, eco-ambassador for National Geographic

On March 31st at 7:30 pm, HHEF is presenting Chris Jordan, eco-ambassador for National Geographic
and an environmental themed evening with an HHSD recycled student art exhibit, and other eco-exhibits
at a reception with Chris Jordan from 6:30 to 7:30 pm. Both events are at the Simmons Elementary School.
The event is free, so please help us pass the word around to everyone that you know that might be interested.
You can obtain tickets for the event in advance on our website, or at the door.

January 8, 2009 Meeting

The Park Creek Watershed Association will be meeting at the Horsham Library at 7PM this coming Thursday to work on the Girl Scout Water Drop Patch program we plan to host this spring.

All members and the public are invited to attend.
